Fine Art Competition in honor of Ignacy Jan Paderewski

Image 15.05.2016 at 18.19The Gallery Roi Doré is pleased to announce the Fine Art Competition „In the service of art and homeland”, in honor of Ignacy Jan Paderewski. Participants must create and provide a work of art inspired by the life and creative work of Paderewski (1860-1941), the world renowned Polish composer and pianist, statesman, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister in 1919, Polish government delegate at the Peace conference in Paris, which was crowned by the signing of the Treaty of Versailles ending World War I, and delegate of the Polish government to the League of Nations, recipient of the Order of the White Eagle,  the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour and Knight Grand Cross of the order of the British Empire.

All participants should complete and submit the application form available online and provide the high definition (300dpi / 2000 x 3000 pixels) photographs of their works no later than the June 15th, 2016. The authors of the works qualified for the final have to provide their original works to the organizer at their own expense and at the latest on the June 25th, 2016. Participants are free to chose the technique and can submit up to three works. The competition is open exclusively to works produced  in the last two years (works created before 2015 are not accepted) and which haven’t been presented in other competitions.

The main prize is an individual exhibition, which the organizer will present in his exhibition rooms during a time agreed upon with the winner. The finalists’ works will be presented in a group exhibition, whose opening will take place at the Gallery Roi Doré on the June 29th, 2016, on the 75th anniversary of I.J Paderewski’s death. The exhibition will last until July 30th, 2016
